My name is Charley Groves and the reason I'm so passionate about helping those with ADHD is because I have first-hand experience of it myself.

No two people with ADHD are the same and everyone's experience of it will be slightly different to the next person's. You may relate to my experiences, or you may not, but that doesn't negate or diminish your own experience of ADHD.

For years, I chased the corporate world dream trying to have a professional, conventional career path. But I was too impulsive, too hyperactive, too antsy for the corporate world. Some with ADHD are able to find a fit in the corporate world but this wasn't true for me.

My managers would question why I needed to get up from my desk so regularly to take movement breaks and make coffees or teas. When I started a new job, managers were baffled at how I'd start off so motivated and high-performing, only to gradually lose motivation as I became disengaged from the routine and monotony of the day-to-day.

With a passion for novelty and for intensity, I'd jump from one short-term relationship to the next, running away as soon as the exciting, all-consuming honeymoon period came to an end.

For years, I tried to navigate the NHS mental health system and waiting times, until eventually I made it to the top of the list and was able to go on medication.

Medication was a silver bullet for me. It enabled me to focus and stay focussed at work over the long-term. It also enabled me to study to become a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. But medication is not a silver bullet for everyone. For some, it may simply not be effective or they may not be able to take it, or they may simply be opposed to taking it. Or perhaps it helps with some of the symptoms but doesn't provide coverage for all of the symptoms. For women, medication can lose its' efficacy during or before menstruation as well as during menopause. This is why I'm here, to help you achieve a full holistic approach and start healing.
